Automation Platform + Constructor Duality

The book’s central organizing concept. The Automation Platform anchors the assemblage and drives rule-based, bounded-alignment (efficiency). The Constructor reads, analyzes, and rethinks the assemblage and its behavior pattern, delivering change capacity (advancement). Neither half is sufficient; they are complements, not rivals. The Duality is impossible without an applied understanding of product lines as complex systems. We read the line across three registers: nature, knowledge, and perception. We work through that understanding with three questions: the what, the how, and the structure — what experts call ontology, epistemology, and taxonomy. Introduced in Chapter 2 of Winning the Race.
