Archetype Disruption Theory
One of the two critical theories underpinning Winning the Race (Book 3), alongside Product Line Congruency Theory. Real disruption is archetype-shifted: a rival enters the industry on a different platform-lever and chain, and the incumbent’s own chain blocks the response. Incumbents fail to respond not because they are big but because they are locked — Congruency Inertia, the architectural reframe of Christensen’s small-entrant observation. The theory carries the Archetype Entrepreneur / operator distinction and the new-to-industry transplant mechanism. Seeded in Chapter 5; developed in Chapter 8. See also Congruency Inertia, Archetype Entrepreneur, New-to-industry archetype, Disruption Window.
