Disruption Window
The time between an archetype shift becoming visible and the incumbent losing the capacity to respond. The window is closing across eras: four to seven years before AI; two to three years in the AI-Enabler era; months in the Constructor era. The window closes from the entrant’s side, not the incumbent’s — incumbents do not get faster as eras advance; entrants do. Defined in Chapter 9 of Winning the Race.
